Nature Coast EyeCare 10 year celebration was a huge success. Over 200 people attended. Special thanks to Gregg at Gregg's crab trap for cooking all the food, and to Marcia Parker for providing the clowns who did face painting and balloon animals for the kids. Thanks to DJ Mark Bell who provided the music for the event. The Mayor of Perry dedicated July 26th 2008 as Dr. Shugar Day. In attendance was State Representative Will Kendrick, and Travis Hart from Congressman Alan Boyd's office were there to speak on Dr. Shugar's behalf.
FDA Studies LASIK Surgery Risks - As Seen on WCTV
Experts are urging the Food and Drug Administration to warn patients about the risks of the increasingly popular laser eye surgery.
Dr. Joel Shugar at the Nature Coast EyeCare Institute in Perry said, "It's the FDA's job to investigate every single complaint. But if you put it in perspective, 134 complaints out of six million procedures, is just an outstanding track record."
